Julie Lenhard Vice President of Pharmacy, Wegmans Food Markets.
Julie graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Pharmacy in 2002 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. While at the University at Buffalo, Julie was a Division I athlete earning All-MAC conference honors as well as All MAC Academic conference honors and serving as team captain for the UB Women’s Soccer team. Julie began her 26 year career as a pharmacy technician with Wegmans and held several roles within pharmacy operations including staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager and manager of pharmacy call center operations. Julie then held a variety of roles on the business side of pharmacy to include managed care and category management. Julie spent 5 years of her career with Wegmans outside of pharmacy as she became a Store Manager and also held responsibility for Wegmans Restaurant Operations. At the start of the pandemic, Julie went back to her roots and was promoted to Vice President of Pharmacy overseeing all pharmacy operations. She now oversees the entire pharmacy department at Wegmans.
Julie and her team support over 500 pharmacists and 2500 technicians that serve their customers in 96 store pharmacies, a support center and a Central Pharmacy that provides Central Fulfillment, Mail order and Specialty Pharmacy.
Julie is a member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.
